Columbus City Council election results

A running record of certified Columbus City Council district results, plus key dates for the November 3, 2026 general election. Results are certified citywide totals, counting every Columbus voter, including those in the Delaware and Fairfield County parts of the city. General-election results are the Franklin County Board of Elections’ “Most Populous” reports; the 2025 primary combines the Franklin, Delaware and Fairfield boards’ official canvasses. Columbus City Council races are nonpartisan, so candidates appear on the ballot without a party label.

Upcoming: 2027. Districts on the ballot: 2, 5, 6, 8, 9. Districts 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 — members who drew 4-year terms in January 2024. All future terms are 4 years, staggered. Conditional: if Issue 8 or Issue 9 passes in November 2026, each district's race would be decided only by that district's voters; if Issue 9 passes, the 2027 ballot would also include the first two of four new at-large seats. Primaries are typically held in May, the general election in November. Filing information is available from the Franklin County Board of Elections.
